Making your choice and reserving the condo:



How many people will fit in the condo? Condo Pictures.  6-8 people can comfortably stay in our condo.  There are kings in each master suite, a queen pull out sofa in the family room and two singles in the bunk area.


How is the condo laid out?  Layout Picture. As you look at the layout note the two full master suites.  Each has private access to the balcony which is a rare design outside of Waterscape and works great at the end of the day when adults want to relax and listen to the surf for a while after the kids go to bed.


How is the complex laid out?  The complex is on the beach has three buildings (A, B, & C) that form a horse shoe facing the ocean.  As you look at the complex from the beach, Building A is to the right, Building C is in the center/back of the complex and building B is to the left.  Every condo in the complex has a very short walk to the courtyard, pools, lazy river, tiki refreshment stand, etc.  Our unit is in Building A, approximately half way between parking and the beach.  We are on the quieter side of the building facing the gulf (we do not face the pools).


Can I smoke in the condo?  Sorry, smoking is not allowed in the condo.


Do you allow pets in the condo? Sorry but no.


What are your rates?  The most updated Rates are on our VacationHomeRentals page.  The listed rates include everything except a cleaning fee of $130 or tax of 11.5%.


How do I reserve my dates & put down a deposit?  Select the “Rent Now” or “Quotes” button and send us your info and include a note that you are ready to reserve the room.  ResortQuest manages our unit and we will work with them to set up your reservation then we send you instructions for calling ResortQuest to make your 15% deposit.


Who am I giving my credit card number to and can I trust them? ResortQuest is one of America’s largest and most trusted property management firms.  They manage over 100,000 properties in over 9,000 locations.


What if I need to cancel?
Cancelations more than 30 days prior: Forfeit deposit
Cancelations 30 days or less prior to arrival: Fully rental amount is due and non-refundable unless the unit is re-rented.  If the unit is re-rented, forfeit deposit only.

Trip Insurance –We have had not positive or negative experiences with trip insurance and cannot give guidance other than to say it is available through ResortQuest and many other outlets.

Hurricanes – Generally, if evacuations are ordered for the Waterscape area or if resort management determines that the resort should be closed to guests, refunds will be provided for the days that the resort is closed.  Each situation is unique and will be treated separately.

 

Planning your trip:



What is the check-in / check-out time? Check in time is between 4:00 PM and 5:00PM.  There will likely be a group leaving the day you arrive so please do not plan on being able to get into the condo before 4:00PM.  Check out time is 10:00AM.


How does check in work? ResortQuest manages our unit. They are set up in the Waterscape lobby and will handle your check in. When you arrive, they will give you your keys, WIFI and garage code, wrist bands, beach service coupon, etc.


What if I arrive early? If you arrive early, ResortQuest will give you your wrist bands and parking pass so you can access the pools and beach. Be sure to be back to the office before they close to get your room keys.  Please note: Office hours vary based on the season and the volume of guests.  In the slowest season, the office closes as early as 4:30 PM.


What if I arrive after hours? If you arrive after hours, there is a phone to the right of the lobby doors that automatically dials a Waterscape representative. The representative will provide instructions for accessing your room keys from a lockbox that is also in the area. Unfortunately they do not give you everything so you will still need to go back down to finish your check in the next morning.


What is stocked in the condo? A few hotel sized bar soaps, detergent for washing dishes by hand, dish washer detergent for 1-2 loads, a roll of paper towels, enough laundry detergent for 1 load, a hair dryer, toilet paper, bedding and bath towels.


What is not stocked in the condo? The condo is not stocked with condiments, tooth paste, shampoo, dryer sheets or beach towels. You can find new beach towels at the souvenir shops for $3-$5 and there are grocery stores very close for anything else that you need.


Where do I park?  You will receive a parking pass and a code for entering the parking garage when you check in.  The code is on the back of your parking pass.  We are on the 5thfloor of building A in unit A523.  It has worked well for us to park on the first floor by the elevator but many people drive up to the 5th floor.  Either way works.  Luggage carts are on the first floor of the garage.


What’s with the wrist bands?  Although Waterscape controls 490’ of beachfront there is public access to the beach from several locations.  To assure that the complex is not treated as if it is opened to the public, wrist bands are provided to all guests between March and October and checked by the resorts staff routinely.
 

After you are checked in:



Tell me about the organized kids activities at Waterscape.  Activities are scheduled between June and August and the schedule changes year to year and month to month.  Scavenger hunts, karaoke, tie dying t-shirts, movie night at the pool and sand castle building contests are a few of the activities that were organized in the past.   If you are staying between June and August, be sure to ask for a schedule when you check in.


What are the hours of operation?

How do I get free WIFI? You will receive a code in your packet when you check in.


How do we get free use of beach chairs / umbrella?  When you check in, you will receive a coupon that is valid for two beach chairs and one umbrella for each day of your stay.  A service sets up the chairs and umbrellas in the morning then guests choose where they want to sit (first come first serve).  Many groups send their early risers down first thing so they can get a spot on close to the water.  Later in the morning, the service comes around and checks coupons.  You can rent addition beach setups from the same service.  Historically the fee for additional setups has been around $25/day.

 

How does free DVD rental work?  You will be provided a movie card when you check in.  The card works at any of the three kiosks located in the lobby, near unit A217 and near unit B107.  Be sure to return your movie before you leave so that you are not charged for it.


Where is the game room? There is a modest game room in the lobby to the right of the front desk.


Phone calls are free?  Local and long distance calls within the US & Canada are free from your condo phone.  The password for retrieving messages (if the light is blinking) is 1234.  The phone number is listed on the phone but if you need the number before you leave, let us know and we will send it to you.


Is there a grill that we can use?  There are 10 gas grills throughout the courtyard that are very well serviced and available for your use.  First come first serve.


Tell me about the seating and tables around the pools.  There is plenty of seating!  Reserving pool chairs is officially against the rules but that rule is not consistently enforced.  Pools chairs are generally available but you may need to hunt around to find an open table.


Are the pools heated? The upper pool is heated but the lower zero entry pool and lazy river are not.

Is there housekeeping? Daily maid service is not provided.
